MediaSnack-snack-snackers#21

snacked

[SUMMARY—Quotes which illustrate.]

(WORLD) MediaSnackers are being served more and more ways to snack on their chosen media than ever. It's hard to differentiate between companies and start-ups enabling snacking or the snacking trends driving media platform development, but here are a couple of quotes from the 'experts' to sum it all up for any 'MediaSnacker-virgins':

The BBC and Channel 4 will initially use the Bebo network to promote their shows using short clips. Because it allows them to embed their own "media players" within the website, they are also likely to show full-length programmes in future.
Bebo allowing a mashup of old and new media in short-video form.

The connected consumer. There are four major driving forces: Digitization, Convergence, Media Snacking and Social Networking.
Duncan Waddle, VP of WDW PR speaking at the PRSA conference.

Short-form online video is a new genre of entertainment well-suited to today's pace of life, enabling fans to enjoy a 'media snack' whenever and wherever they like. The 'Director's Cut' channel features some of the best original content in this new genre, short videos created and nominated by members of the vibrant Metacafe community.
Erick Hachenburg, CEO of Metacafe.
