Seen and Heard 2007

seenandheard

[SUMMARY—BT awards for young people.]

(GBR) In partnership with the UK Youth Parliament, our friends at BT have announced and launched this years Seen and Heard—this year the report is accompanied by a CD which featured stories from the winners (order a report here or download the pdf here.

The purpose of Seen and Heard has always been to recognise and reward the achievements of those young people who have made a real difference to their own lives and the lives of others around them. This year, as last, we also recognise adults who have listened to and acted upon the concerns of young people.

Thay have a great interactive map so you can drill down into the regions and find stories in your locality. Would have been great to have the audio embedded in the site as well but maybe next year ;-)

[SUMMARY—We're getting around.]

(GBR) MediaSnackers is up north and with Music4U, the Humber Region's Youth Music Action Zone, who run a wide range of music activities across the region.

We're here speaking at their AGM plus providing a little consulting session on their future new media and technology strategy.

MediaSnackers really got our team thinking about the future and how we start to use the technologies available. It was great to have someone who has the overview of what is available and with the knowledge about how young people communicate. We are now using some of the technologies demonstrated and are starting to connect to young people. We highly recommend MediaSnackers consulting, particular enlightening to anyone over the age of 18!
