Showco Digital Journalist Intros: Part Seven
[SUMMARY—Introducing Laura-Jane.]
(GBR) MediaSnackers will be at this years Showcomotion Children's Media Festival training up some young poeple to be digital journalists for the event. Let's meet them:
September 11, I was born in a scabby wing of Burnley General. I have no recollection of this, nor the next few years that followed. I remember loving Thomas the Tank Engine, hating Barbie and eating corned beef with ketchup. Oh, I also had a collection of "Jem!", a set of rock star dolls from the 1980’s that me and my sister have only ever heard of before… During this stage, I smashed my left knee cap and had more throat infections than anyone I know.
I studied Communication Studies with PR for three years. My parents thought that Uni was a time for learning about the "true value of money", hence decided not to help fund for any of it. So, with the minimum loan, high tuition fees and accommodation costs, I found several jobs to get myself by. One job paid me to go out, get drunk and have fun, so I was pretty happy!
I recently finished and moved in with a long term partner. Oh, and I moved in on Friday, and on the Monday the floods came. My brand new riverside apartment was not as desirable as I wished! Wading out was not fun, but that is another biography in itself!
By the time I begin Showcomotion I will get the results of my degree! And that is my life in a nutshell!
