Don't Do It!

(WORLD) Yahoo! has developed a new social job network platform called Kickstart, focussed on connecting potential employers to recent college graduates.

This is a simple mashup of social networks such as Facebook and LinkedIn—time will tell if it will succeed but we think it won't.

In the past month we have seen couple companies and several public/voluntary sector groups start thier own versions of social networks in the hope to emulate the MySpace's and Bebo's of this world. Our MediaSnackers consulting freebie (if you're not an existing web giant like Yahoo!):

Go to your audience, utilise existing platforms they populate and do not try to establish your own space!
